What is an E2 Visa?
A US E2 visa, also called a Treaty Investor Visa, is a US non-immigrant visa that will allow you to reside, start and operate a business in the US.

Do you have the requirements to be issued a USA E2 Visa?
To apply for a US E2 Visa, you must be a national of a treaty country and make a substantial investment in a new or existing US business venture that is controlled and at least 50% owned investors from the same treaty country. There is NO minimum amount for the investment to be considered, “substantial,” as it is based on the specific needs of the business.
Your enterprise must be real, active, for-profit, and more than marginal. You must be personally involved with the development and direction of your enterprise ongoing.
Income generated from passive investments does not qualify.

What's involved in applying for an E2 Visa?
To apply for an E2 Visa, you must submit an electronic application and a pdf application. Lawsorio Consulting will provide you with guidance on how to complete this application.
You are also required to pay a filing fee of $315.00 USD. A reciprocity fee, if applicable, may be required at the time of visa issuance and varies based on country of citizenship of the applicant. You also need to invest time compiling the pertinent supporting documents and traveling to your regional, designated US Consulate or embassy for an in-person interview with an E2 Visa interviewer.

How long does it take to get approved for an E2 Visa?
The amount of time required to process your US E2 Visa application will vary depending on different factors but, usually takes around 2-4 months once you’ve submitted your application to the US Department of State. Prior to that there is a lot of other work that needs to be done, including making the investment in your new business venture, of which proof is required to be submitted with your E2 visa application to show the US government that you will be operating a business in the US.
